DEMST has made an additional 10 rural paramedic training grants available to ambulance services with the following conditions:
1. The Paramedic for which the grant is applied for must have graduated from a North Dakota approved Paramedic training course within the current biennium (July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2009) and be fully credentialed to work as a Paramedic (nationally registered and state licensed).
2. The Paramedic must agree to work full-time for at least 2 years for a ND ambulance service that:
a. is based in a city of less than 30,000,
b. the ambulance service must do at least 100 calls per year,
3. No more than 4 grants will be made to any one ambualnce service.
Other requirements also apply. Applications must be recieved by June 15, 2009 in order to be eligible. This is a first come first served grant, they will be awarded in the order that they are recieved.

This is a mechanism to pass along Paramedic level information to all North Dakota Paramedics.
